What you are bidding on is original art direct from the artist Benito Gallego. The item up for sale is the first of my Tarzan Sunday pages. Each page was hand crafted hand inked masterpieces. The New Adventures of TARZAN Sunday pages are available online at www.edgarriceburroughs.com/comics/ and will be all published soon in printed paper.
The page in question (#3754) takes place at an airport in tropical Africa. Tarzan, Jane and Paul D’Arnot arrive on the back of Tantor the elephant, which is trotting out toward a plane. Jane embraces Tarzan, says she’ll be back as soon as she can. Moments later, Tarzan and D’Arnot are back aboard Tantor and are heading out of the airport, both look back over his shoulder as the plane disappears into the sky. Meanwhile, back in the dawn jungle, a couple of Africans are horrified to find, just beyond the edge of their little town, a dead and mutilated body.
Pen and brush illustration done on A-3 size (11,7 x 16,5) illustration board signed by the artist. The Tarzan logo is pasted down to the original.
This is the first of my Tarzan Sunday pages. A truly collector's item!

La página en cuestión (nº 3754) tiene lugar en un aeropuerto en el África tropical. Tarzan, Jane y Paul D’Arnot llegan a lomos de Tantor el elefante, que está trotando hacia un avión. Jane abraza a Tarzan y le dice que volverá tan pronto como pueda. Más tarde Tarzan y D’Arnot están de nuevo sobre Tantor y se marchan del aeropuerto. Ambos miran mientras el avión desaparece en el cielo. Mientras tanto, en la jungla, un par de africanos encuentran horrorizados un cuerpo muerto y mutilado.
